On-Camera Talent for Language Videos

We’re looking for fluent US English speakers to be the faces of our short videos on social media. No followers or teaching experience needed.

  • Remote, United States
  • Part-time, 1099 contract
  • $20 an hour

What you’ll do

  • We send you scripts in batches. You record when it suits you and send the raw videos back by the agreed date. Videos are 20–40 seconds, and most people record about 6 an hour.
  • We write the script for every video. Some parts you can say in your own words.
  • Send us the raw video only. We edit and render the final video, post it and reply to comments. No editing skills needed.

The videos

The videos can be anything about learning languages: tips, explaining what a word or phrase means, lessons with Speekl tutors, conversations with Speekl AI and more. We post them on TikTok, Instagram, X and other social media, on the main Speekl account or on an account Speekl runs for you, under your real name or a stage name. We’ll agree on the name and handle together.

Pay

$20 for every hour you record. It’s flexible part-time work you do from home, as an independent contractor (1099), so it fits around a job, studies or anything else you have going on.

Requirements

  • 18 or older and living in the US
  • Fluent US English
  • Natural and comfortable on camera
  • A recent smartphone and a quiet room
  • Interested in working with us on an ongoing basis

How to apply

  1. Record a vertical video of you saying the script below in your own words, up to 60 seconds. One take is fine.
  2. Upload it to YouTube as unlisted, so only people with the link can see it.
  3. Email the link to careers@speekl.com with the subject “Video application: your full name”.
Sample script
